FREE 'HAPPY' PRINTABLE
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY... :-)
I have a new printable for you to snag. The template is by Belle, all the elements are from Paulette and the layout is my own. Please use it for personal use only. The elements are from various CLUBS that Paulette has sold, but the wordart is available HERE.
Some folks have asked me how to "use" them. Other folks have asked HOW I MAKE THEM. YIKES...that is a big request. I can only say I use Paint Shop Pro and have learned from various Yahoo Groups as well as online classes and various tutorial sites. I have primarily used PSP version 7, but do use PSPX and now have PSPx4 that I have to learn. But when you want to use a PRINTABLE...these are basic steps.
STEP ONE:
Save the image to your own computer. Open it in whatever program you use for printing. When I tell mine to print, I usually check to be sure it says PRINT FIT TO PAGE. Some templates that is not necessary, but for the most part, that works for me. For this, I printed three sets/copies in order to show you all aspects of these tea bag holders. After you print the file, cut it out on the solid lines meant to be CUT. In general dotted lines almost always mean to crease/fold and solid mean to cut, but solid could also be to crease/fold as in this template.
STEP TWO:
You can see better here how after cutting it out, I folded/creased the solid lines of the image.
STEP THREE:
Some options for assembly are to use double stick tape as I did here; craft glue, hot glue, buttons and string, eyelets, ETC... these options are open to how the individual wants the project to look and how the template is structured. For this purpose, I used double stick tape. The flap on the "envelope" can be trimmed to fit better inside and make it a tuck tab otherwise, I used double stick tape on one and regular tape on another to see how I liked either look. Frankly, I don't mind it either way. Some do NOT want the shiny tape showing on the back side so the double stick is mandatory then. UP TO YOU!
Then you tuck the teabag inside the envelope and after you have attached the hang tag element, again with double stick tape, tuck it inside too.
STEP FOUR:
You can see here, the different steps... printed, cut, fold, assemble. Now my goal for this is to add it to a greeting card as a little pick-me-up. You can use them to make "bouquets" by taping them to skewers and assembling them like a flower arrangement among some silk flowers/baby's breath in a pretty vase, or just to pass out to someone you want to give a RAK (random act of kindness) too.
Hope this little "tutorial" of sorts has helped those that have been asking the questions....
And last by not least...here is the printable... please just click to open in a new window/tab and then save to your own computer for printing when you are ready to play with it...

"OWL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" FREEBIE TEMPLATE
I have had to think about this project a LOT and have not gotten near the quantity of goodies done by the time I wanted, but I have committed to it as a year long project for myself. I am using the theme of "OWL ALWAYS LOVE YOU..." in anything that I make for my husband in 2010. I bought him a new puppy at the beginning of January and it was meant to cover monitary gifts for 2010... (if that makes sense)... and now his birthday came and went and I was able to give him a couple cards with the theme... and Valentine's day is right around the corner. Our anniversary is in June and Thanksgiving is a good holiday as well as Christmas to use the theme again! I'm sure I'll use it more frequently, but those are the ones that I am "focusing" on right now. My ultimate goal is to make 24 if not 48 4x6 bragbook page layouts using the owl theme on each page. Each page will also have either a hand written note or a "word art" image to fit the saying for that page of "OWL ALWAYS LOVE YOU BECAUSE..................."
I will share the bragbook pages here as long as the element artist's TOU allow.
I have also created my own template for an owl that can be used in CU and PU situations. I hope someone along the line thinks he is cute and will "decorate" him for me!! He is 300 DPI and approximately 4 1/2" wide and 5" tall. The zip file includes the jpg, png and a layered psd file.

So you have a choice on what is best for you
to download. ALL of the digi elements used
are created by Paulette at CREATE WITH TLC.
I used popdots to attach the word art inside,
as well as the mitten on top of the spoon.
The marshmallows in the baggie around the spoon
are snowman shaped and I found those at Walmart
for about a buck a bag... SO CUTE! And they
taste good too! hehehehe

ADVENT CALENDAR
This idea was shared on a blog called
SIMPLY SARAH
I wrote and asked for her permission to share
her post with my readers. This is the introduction
to her post with the link following to go to her
blog to see how it is all carried out:
I’m so excited about the Advent Calendar the kids and I have been working on. I grew up with an Advent Calendar as a part of our Christmas celebration. We eagerly opened each door to find the candy behind it. We’d read the Advent devotionals, light the advent wreath/candles each Sunday, excitedly anticipating Christmas Day and Jesus Birth.
This year I wanted to find a way to combine all of those traditions and point to the Savior each day. I didn’t care so much about the chocolate – I wanted something else to be “hidden” behind each door. I wanted the kids to seek Jesus. He is, after all, the reason for the season.
So this is the result of my quest to create the “perfect” Advent calendar.
I hope you enjoy it! And I’d LOVE to hear about your Advent traditions.
To create the “scene” for my Advent calendar,
I purchased a miniature Christmas tree (or will purchase one).
Under the Christmas tree, I placed 25 folded paper boxes (directions for how to make these are listed below). I numbered each box 1 through 25. So box 1 would be open on December 1st, and so on. Now I do realize that Advent traditionally begins on the 4th Sunday before Christmas, but for simplicity sake, and so that we can reuse this from year to year,
we’re doing it 25 days of December.

for each person at the dinner, or to just
have set in various places with small
candies in them. You can also use as
a small container hold a small gift
that you've wrapped in tissue or other
wrapping paper to give to someone.
One more idea is as an ornament with
something special placed inside...

This is a LARGE share! It is a book that I created
and gave as gifts to my mom, stepmom and sisterinlaw.
I printed everything and put it into 3" 3-Ring Binders.
They were BIG BOOKS, but covered just about any
subject you might want to keep track of from year
to year. They loved the books and really have used
them!
This set is in 100DPI and each page is made at
8" x 11" so you must set your printer to "FIT TO PAGE"
so that it prints correctly.
Sections include:
Cover and Back Cover
Decorations
Card List Sent/Recd
Card List Addresses
Notes
Calendar Weekly
Calendar Monthly
Do's & Don'ts to Remember
Stocking Stuffer Ideas
