HOW TO BE HAPPY!

How to Be Happy!

Don't ever stop dreaming your dreams;
they're a very essential part of you.
Do whatever you can to make them a
reality by the course you take,
the plans you make,
and all the things you do.
Don't dwell on past mistakes; leave
yesterday behind you --- along with any
of its problems, worries, and doubts.
Do realize you can't change the past,
but just ahead is the future --- and
you can do something about that.
Don't try to accomplish everything at
once; life can be difficult enough ---
without adding frustration to the list.
Do travel one step at a time, and reach
for one goal at a time. That's the way
to find out what real accomplishment is.
Don't be afraid to do the impossible,
even if others don't think you'll succeed.
Do remember that history is filled with
incredible accomplishments of those who
were foolish enough ..... to believe.
Don't forget that there are so many
things that are wonderful, rare,
and unique about you.
And do remember that if you can search
within and find a smile ..... that smile
will always be a reflection
of the way people feel ..... about YOU!

POEM to attach to a Heart Shaped Gift

YOU MAKE MY HEART SPARKLE

Your little touches of love
Your kind words and deeds
And your simple kind smile
Give my heart what it needs
To transform my soul
To a dazzling light.
You make my Heart Sparkle
With pure joy and delight.

*attach to a heart necklace, earrings, ring, key chain,
ornament, review mirror hanging heart,
ANYTHING designed around a heart shape....

God's BoxesI have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, 'Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold.'

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
'I wonder where my sorrows could be!'
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
'My child, they're all here with me..'

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
'My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go'

REINDEER FOOD and DUSTPAN COOKIES

REINDEER FOOD
NOTE: This is for fun and not to be eaten!
You will need plain Oatmeal, Birdseed, Rice Crispies
and Multi Color Glitter.
Take 1 part of each and put into a plastic bag.
Shake well and add the below poem.
On Christmas Eve let the kids sprinkle the Reindeer Food
all over the yard.
POEM
Make a wish and close your eyes tight,
Then sprinkle on your lawn at night.
As Santa's reindeer fly & roam
This food will guide them to your home.
For your gift to the reindeer and Rudolph too
Your wish may be real, your dreams may come true.
*NOTE... There is EDIBLE GLITTER available at Michaels.
*NOTE #2... I prefer adding colored cereals like Fruity Pebbles or something to be like the multicolored glitter.  Then it doesn't matter what critter or child might eat from the baggie.

DUSTPAN COOKIES
Simply bake up your favorite batch of cookies – place them on the dustpan;
then take a few & crumble into smaller pieces (to show that you swept them up…
even though you didn’t!)  Wrap the Dustpan with cellophane
and add a bow & gift tag with the following poem:
I was in a hurry,
‘Cuz time was running out.
I’d baked a batch of cookies for you,
And when I turned about,
I saw they’d fallen on the floor.
It made me want to shout!
How could this happen at this time,
When time was running out.
I couldn’t throw them in the trash.
Whatever could I do!
I quickly swept them in this pan,
And rushed them off to you.
Or—
I was baking some cookies
When they dropped on the floor.
So I scooped them right up
And rushed them to your door!
Merry Christmas From Our House To Yours!

Friendship Rainbow
I don't need a pot of gold
From every rainbows end;
For I found the greatest wealth
Is having you for my friend.
Here are some little hugs for you
Just a way that I can say
Thank you for being the color
In a world that often seems grey!

or change the last two lines to say:

Thank you for your friendship
Please have a colorful day!

Grandma Hugs
Grandmother, you are like a patchwork quilt,
so cozy and so warm.
Just listening to your stories,
reminds me of your wisdom and your charm.
I know I can always come to you,
When lost or feeling alone.
For you always comfort me,
and make me feel at home.
You are the silver lining,
of a cloudy day
and I know whom I can trust
when black clouds blow my way.
I store your hugs and kisses
In my heart each day.
So I'd like to share some back with you
To give you back love in my own special way.

Hug Me!

No moving parts, no batteries.
No monthly payments and no fees;
Inflation proof, non-taxable,
In fact, it's quite relaxable;
It can't be stolen, won't pollute,
One size fits all, do not dilute.
It uses little energy,
But yields results enormously.
Relieves your tension and your stress,
Invigorates your happiness;
Combats depression, makes you beam,
And elevates your self-esteem!
Your circulation it corrects
Without unpleasant side effects
It is, I think the perfect drug:
May I prescribe, my friend, the hug!

Why God Made Hugs

Everyone was meant to share
God's all-abiding love and care.
He saw that we would need to know
a way to let these feelings show.

So God made hugs - a special sign,
and symbol of His love divine,
a circle of our open arms
to hold in love and keep out harm.

One simple hug can do its part
to warm and cheer another's heart.
A hug's a bit of heaven above
that signifies His perfect love.

Throughout The Year

Throughout The Year

January is the start of a brand new year.
February is the month for those who are dear.
March brings the winds that blow for hours.
April brings the gentle showers.
May brings flowers to make a bouquet.
June is a great time to go out and play.
July is the month for picnics and fun.
August means good times for everyone.
September is when special friends get together.
October brings pumpkins and crisp autumn weather.
November reminds us to be thankful and true.
December is for sharing love and joy...just like me and you.

A DEFINITION OF THE NEW YEAR

A DEFINITION OF THE NEW YEAR

The new year is a door
By which we reach new fields
Of service for God and fellow man:
A door by which we can explore
Wide spheres of usefulness
Our world to bless,
And reap the sheaves God's word of witness yields.

The new year is a task
Set by the Master of our souls,
A little part of our life's work below:
And so we ask holy wisdom which alone controls Our labor,
teaching what and where to sow:
That the year, at its end,
May show God's glory and man's profit blend.

The new year is a book
With many pages, and as yet all white
On which to write
The history of thought, and deed, and word
In this new group of days.
We pray thee, Lord,
As thou shalt look upon the book,
When written over, may all be to Thy praise.

There are wonderful words, so seldom used,

.

There are wonderful words, so seldom used,
like wildflowers in God's garden
you can right a wrong and make life a song,
by saying "I beg your pardon"

When others seem hard to understand,
you can reach their hearts with ease..
For the stubbornest back will soon unbend,
to a little word called "please"

We take for granted our daily joys,
as if they were drawn from banks,
but God must be pleased, when, once in a while,
one of us stops to say "thanks."

Copy this poem and send it on

.

Copy this poem and send it on
and some glad day when all wars are gone
this little chain of living prayer,
may have helped bring peace for the world to share.

Whisper each word as you write it down,
"O God, who smiles on the king and clown,
shower your love on each human heart,
for only from love can a real Peace start"

So whatever your language, race or creed,
send this on for someone to read -
Let's circle the world with a prayer for peace,
for God alone can make all wars cease.

A Valentine From Jesus

A Valentine From Jesus

I love you. You are mine.
Your name is written upon My heart.
Your prayers are precious to Me.
Your life is in My hands.
I am always with you, nearer to you than your own heart.
I gave My life so that you might live forever with Me.
All I ask in return is your love.
Be My Valentine, Jesus

P.S. You are precious in my sight, and honored,
and I love you. --Isaiah 43:4

FOR YOUR "OTHER HALF"

Buy a bag of Hershey kisses, and a dozen of roses.
Before your mate gets home,
make a trail with the kisses to the shower.
Place the roses in the shower,
leave a note with the roses that says
"Now that I have kissed the ground you walk on,
and showered you with roses
would you like to go out with me?"
or some kind of message like that.
