CandeeCorn Template 1

I try to come up with a different theme every year for a "set" of templates that can be used for a variety of projects. This year, I chose the CandeeCorn concept. The first one I'm sharing is for a sucker cover. The directions are on the file and the zip you will download includes the .png, .psp for version 7, and .jpg files. There will be a lot more coming with this theme so watch for the updates. I will post last years themed ones soon. They are more for fall/thanksgiving, not so much for Halloween. Again, any questions, feel free to ask...

HAPPY FALL!

COMMERCIAL USE FLUTTERBY

I see a lot of beautiful scripts and actions that are being used all over and I really wish PSP7 did them. But I have not learned them yet and really do want to learn, but I need the program that will do it. So until then, I play with basic shapes and do what I can with those. This butterfly is created from inspiration of a script I saw being shared in a group. So I am hoping there are others out there that still need basic shapes to decorate and embellish the more "old fashioned" way. This is basically a bit larger than a 5x7 size image. You can embellish it anyway you choose as well as change its size to fit your project. Feedback is always welcome so I can learn as I go. Thank you!

HALLOWEEN SUCKER COVERS

These are so fun! After I made the visual, I decided to print two of each, cut them out and glue them back to back so that the design is on both sides. These are so fun to make. The skeleton mug came from the Dollar Tree. They are probably stocking Halloween stuff now already. I'd suggest getting them early as they do sell out fast! In order to make the suckers stand up, I filled the cups with candies like MnMs or Jelly Beans. You can also use those colored glass marbles.

The fills are from Paulette at Create w/TLC and the template is from my friend Fran.

SCARECROW STEW

This printable is for you to use with Cider Mix and Cinnamon Stix. The cider mix is in the same size pkg as hot cocoa mix. This is found in the same place at the grocery store as hot cocoa too. This is great for gifts for teachers, friends, neighbors, kids, bus drivers, etc. Printing instructions are on the file.

GIVE THANKS CARD

This is a half fold greeting card I made. Make sure you have printer set to FIT TO PAGE and PORTRAIT setting. This one is 100DPI and prints well, but you can adjust it to 300DPI if you are familiar with your own graphics program.

APPLE BOX PRINTABLE

This template was made by a friend of mine, but her site is no longer available. Her name is Fran. The apple themed fill was created by another online friend named Paulette at Create with TLC. You need to print both pieces to make one box. These are at 100DPI and need to be set for PORTRAIT layout.

This makes a cute box for a Halloween treat or teacher gift.

SEAMLESS TILES

I was playing and made some seamless tiles to be used as fills in PSP. They are really more HALLOWEEN type coloring, but feel free to use for whatever you want.

SIZING OF MOST OF MY CREATIONS

I have received a comment with concern about the size of my templates. So far to date, I have only shared the templates at 100DPI. When I figure out how to get them into a file sharing site and share the link to ONLY that file, I will share some in 300DPI. Here is an example of what I mean...
The blank template is here (and shared in my Fathers Day card templates). The screen shot shows the size information...

The following example shows the page set up I used in Paint Shop Pro 7. You have to have it set to Landscape and Fit to page.

Everyone's printing programs may have this set different. But I can tell you that I have shared my templates from Paint Shop Pro 7 at 100 DPI with it set to 100 pixels per inch. So for those of you that have it set to 72 dpi or anything different, it might not be exactly this way. You can use my templates and have them print correctly, but you need to have your DPI checked if they are printing smaller. Or it may be as simple as making sure you have it to landscape mode for certain templates such as this DAD card. The following image shows the example of the page set up. You can see the program ruler on the top and left sides to see the size as well as the dialog box.

If you ever have a question or problem with any of my templates, please don't hesitate to ask. I am more than willing to help and answer any concerns that may arise. It is important to me that they work for everyone that wants to use them.

THANK YOU

OUR FURBABIES

I wanted to share our furbabies with you today... The dog is Shadow, the cat by himself is Prince, the bunny is Hopper, and the two cats together are Wolfie (long hair) and Sting (short hair).

The felines are all brothers from the same litter. The cats are all named after "music" icons. I wanted to have them named Wolfgang ~ Amadeus ~ Mozart, but the three kids would have nothing to do with that. So we let them name them, but it had to be music related. Thus, Wolfgang (Wolfie for short), Prince, and Sting. I can't begin to even tell you how they are so appropriate to their mannerisms and personalities! It is amazing!

Shadow was named Shadow because when we first got him and to this day, he is Dave's shadow no matter what!

Hopper's original name was Droske. He is a purebred Polish Dwarf Chocolate Bunny. Being Dutch myself, my favorite chocolate is Droste's. And since Hopper is Polish, I changed the end to end in the SKI sound. When "Santa" delivered Droske to Emily on Christmas morning, the tears and joy were so immense... When she asked if he had a name, I told her Droske and the tears changed and the mood changed drastically. Her dream was to have him named Hopper. So he has always been known as Hopper aka Droske!

Have a great day everyone and give your furbabies an extra hug today!

POCKET PATRIOT

As you know if you've read my blog is that my son is in the United States Air Force. Well, years ago for Desert Storm I created a Pocket Patriot. Little did I know that my own son would be in the service years later! Recently there have been more requests for this little goodie so it is with great pleasure I am sharing it again here! All of our prayers are with ALL of our service men and women!

DOG BITE

DOG BITE

To make a long story short, I was bit by a dog! It was a jack russell pure bred. Not a very friendly dog at that! This happened on August 14th. This is what happened...
Now the healing process has gone really well because I listened to the doc for the most part. It looked like this as of August 25th. Now today it is healing even more, but I'm having more pain in it now than I did a week ago. Seems it is still healing in the inside according to the doc.

The dog as quarantined for 10 days and proven healthy, THANKFULLY! But I am still baffled at why he did what he did! He was not provoked in any way. Maybe it was because I didn't acknowledge him when he approached me, I just don't know, but it was scary! I've always been a pretty trusting person with dogs. But I don't think I am any more! And this one is only about 25 pounds. So he isn't very large either. Suffice it to say, I've learned a lesson that even the smaller ones can be mean!
