Two Finished Scrap Layouts

I used two quickpages made by
Vicki Acreman athttp://txbubbles-bubblesbabbles.blogspot.com/

The purple and green one is from the AL FRESCO kit.
The multicolored floral one is from ALL ABOUT ME kit.

Although I believe neither one to be available any longer,
she has several other great layouts to see!

The original QP is 300DPI and 12x12 in size. I shrunk
these way down just for sharing visual examples...

Buy a bag of Hershey kisses, and a dozen of roses.
Before your mate gets home,

Place the roses in the shower,
leave a note with the roses that says
"Now that I have kissed the ground you walk on,
and showered you with roses
would you like to go out with me?"

VALENTINE FOOD FOR THOUGHT

VALENTINE FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Cabbage always has a heart; Green beans string along.
You're such a cute tomato, Will you peas to me belong?
You've been the apple of my eye, You know how much I care;
So lettuce get together, We'd make a perfect pear.

Now, something's sure to turnip to prove you can't be beet;
So, if you carrot all for me let's let our tulips meet.
Don't squash my hopes and dreams now, Bee my honey, dear;
Or tears will fill potato's eyes, While sweet corn lends an ear.

I'll cauliflower shop and say,
Your dreams are parsley mine.
I'll work and share my celery,
So be my valentine.

VALENTINE'S DAY TOPPER IDEAS

I didn't get you flowers,
and chocolates wouldn't do.
The sweet romantic cards weren't right!
Hmmm...what should I do?

So I found you something special
it's been around since the start,
I found you something extremely rare,
tiny CUPID HEARTS!

So I got you something special
and here's the inside scoop
I found you something very rare
it's genuine Cupid poop!
author unknown

Cupid Poop
Here is something from the cupids above,
who fly along with all of the doves.
Whose arrows have hit many lonely hearts,
they send you a gift for your big heart.
Your kindness and love have been so true,
so the cupids have sent you their little poo-poo.
author unknown

Use red hot heart candies in the baggie for this one.

Buy a bunch of fish at a pet store. It doesn't matter
what kind. Leave it for your lover with a note saying
"Out of all the fish in the sea,
you are the one for me."

CUPIDS ARROW

Take a bamboo skewer and push it through the hole in
an unopened roll of Lifesavers. At one end, of the
skewer, glue two hearts (glued back to back) cut from
fun foam. At the other end put tinsel or metallic chenille
stems to form the "feathers" on the arrow. I make
wrappers for the lifesavers on the computer too...
with a little
message from cupid.
These make great favors or class gifts.

VALENTINE'S DAY POEMS TO ATTACH TO GIFTS OF FOOD

You're sweeter than chocolate
And a joy from the start
It shouldn't be too puzzling
Why you're so dear in my heart

Take this little treat
A Chocolate coated heart
That is oh so sweet.

Some are fast and some so slow

When your love has left you cold
And your romance has the croup
Warm your little heart
With a little Cupid Soup!

Cupid Soup

It's the eve of Valentine's Day, it's time for bed.
But your eyes won't close.
You can't even doze.

So make a Cupid's mug o' soup
To help you fall asleep,
Then Cupid into your dreams will creep.

Pour this "soup" mixture into your mug,
With boiling water, then mix.
Then drop in the Cupid's special kiss,
and stir with the candy cane stick!

Add a few marshmallows,
And sip it slowly down.
Crawl into bed, Cupid's arrow will soon be around.

14 DAYS OF VALENTINE

On the first of Feb. give your spouse or family member the following note:
"Congratulations, you are the lucky recipient of the 14 days of Valentines."

Pick and choose from the list below. Perhaps it will spark your own
creativity. You might want to go to a cake decorating specialty store. They
have miniature items for just pennies. That might help you with even more
ideas tailored to your family's interest.

You are my dreamboat. (Toy boat - about 20 cents at a cake store.)

You are my "Big Hunk". (Big Hunk candy bar)

I have the hots for you. (Red hots)

I am "Twix" by your presence. (Twix candy bar)

You make me "Snicker". (Snicker candy bar)

You light up my life. (Candle or light bulb)

I'm nuts over you. (pkg. of nuts)

You make the world go round. (Jumbo cookie, cake or pizza)

I'm lucky because you're my "Sweetheart" (SweeTarts)

I'm bubbly all over with love and excitement. (Acta Bath or any fizzing type
bubble bath.)

I hope "U-No" how much I love you. (UNO cards)

By "Gum" you're special. (Gum)

If love has lost it's flavor and you feel you're in a "Crunch", just
remember you are loved so very much. (Crunch candy bar)

You are worth a "Mint" to me. OR We were "Mint" to be together. (Mint)

I can't lick any of my problems without you. (Sucker)

You're "Eggsactly" what I want in a husband/wife. (Write this on a
hardboiled egg or use an empty plastic Easter egg.)

I'm simply "Nutragous" about you! (nutragous candy bar)

I'm lucky to have you as a husband/wife/son/daughter. (Lucky Charms)

I'm a smart cookie to have chosen you as my husband/wife. (Cookie)

You're a "Cracker Jack" husband/wife/son/daughter. (Cracker Jacks)

You're the salt of the earth. (Salt)

I've gone bananas over you. (Bananas or banana chips if mailing.)

I love you a bunch. OR We love you. From: the whole bunch. (Grapes)

Thanks for putting snap, crackle and pop into our Marriage/family. (Rice
Krispie Treats or Crackle candy bar)

Thanks for putting your mark on our home. (Marker)

You're worth a million. (Paper money)

You're worth more than $100,000. ($100,000 candy bar)

You really rise to the occasion. (Helium balloon -write the msg. on the
back.)

You're the icing on the cake. (Cake and icing)

We make a "Ding Dong" couple, but I love it. (Ding Dong)

Let's go on a date. (Dates)

I hit the nail on the head when I married you. (Nail))

My love for you snowballs. (Snowball cake with coconut)

Write a love note on a heart shaped paper. Then cut into puzzle pieces.

You can make a large candy kiss by taking a funnel and butter the inside:
Put foil in the narrow end of the funnel and pour into the funnel either
melted chocolate, rice krispie treats or fudge. Write a note on long paper
and wrap with foil like a candy kiss.

SOLDIERS

May no soldier go unloved,
May no soldier walk alone,
May no soldier be forgotten,
Until they all come home.

I came across this saying while surfing the other day and just had to share it here. I don't know who the author is and if anyone knows, please tell me so I can give full credit. Our son is in the AirForce, as you know, and even though he is not in a combat zone, the fear and worry for him and all those he is with is great! The following poem was shared with me a while back. Even though our son isn't married nor does he have children here to run in fields of grass as the poem says, he is still there fighting for the same freedom and the same passion as this poem shares. My step-brothers daughter is also in the AirForce. My sons best friend enlisted at the same time as he did too. LOVE OF PRAYERS AND LOVE AND SUPPORT TO ALL OUR TROOPS!

The Things That Make A Soldier Great

The things that make a soldier great and send him out to die
To face the flaming cannon's mouth and never question why
Are lilacs by a little porch, the row of tulips red
The peonies and pansies too, the old petunia bed
The grass plot where his children play, the roses on the wall
Tis these that make a soldier great, he's fighting for them all.

Tis not the pomp and pride of kings that make a soldier brave
Tis not allegiance to the flag that over him may wave
For soldiers never fight so well on land or on the foam
As when behind the cause they see the little place called home
Endanger but that humble street whereon his children run
You make a soldier of the man who never bore a gun

What is it through the battle smoke the valiant soldier sees
The little garden far away, the budding apple trees
The little patch of ground back there, the children at their play
Perhaps a tiny mound behind the simple church of gray
The golden thread of courage isn't linked to castle dome
But to the spot where'er it be - the humble spot called home

And now the lilacs bloom again and all is lovely there
And homesick soldiers far away know spring is in the air
The tulips come to bloom again, the grass once more is green
And every man can see the spot where all his joys have been
He sees his children smile at him, he hears the bugle call
And only death can stop him now he's fighting for them all

~ by Steve Vaus ~

Thanks for taking time to read this...and please help support our troops!
THANK YOU,
RhondaSue

MEET JACK HANNA

This past Wednesday evening, my husband had a dinner party to play for at his place of employment. The guests numbered about 20 or so and two of them were Jack and Suzy Hanna... you know him as JUNGLE JACK! I really look forward to meeting them some day myself. Dave said they are fantastic folks and enjoys spending time with them whenever he can! This is the third or fourth time that I know of that he's been able to share his music with them as well as have some conversation and get to know you kind of time. I hope to get to Montana to see several things there, but that is where Dave sees them occassionally too. So maybe some day! He has TV Programs, Books to read, coloring books, etc all available... You should check it all out!
